So, I guess things are coming along well. :-) Mimi has been enjoying the life as a wife. Now, she is a soon to be mother, which has taken her off guard, but that's ok. So, who is this Mimi person really? Huh? Huh?

Yep, she is pretty cool! :-) She may brush her teeth more often than the average Sim, but she is a nice, kind person and has been enjoying being a Tanner so much. Look at that beautiful ring!
Growing up, Mimi had an average family. There were her parents, brother Julian and her half brother Ruben. Times were hard for a while, but as the years went on, things got better; but, the stress of life took a toll on the relationship between all of them. To this day none of them were not very close. Mimi lived in Twinbrook and had no idea where the rest of her family lived. Often Mimi wondered if her life as a Tanner would end up the same as with her family. Would she have a good relationship with her child?
Determined to be better then what she knew, Mimi often goes to the library to take advantage of its resources. Why not, right? So, she reads book after book about babies and pregnancy learning all that she can learn in 9 months.
The baby was so exciting for the Tanner's. Gabby would pretend as though she were making funny faces with baby already and Lance loved the feel of his wife's belly. What is there not to love? Mimi's belly was round and firm, but still a little soft. He imagined a tiny being floating around in there plotting how little sleep he or she would be giving his/her parents. Would he/she get Mimi's complexion or his own? Mimi's hair texture or his own? Would he or she want to rock out all night or write the hours away?
Before they all knew it, the little one in Mimi was screaming to get out. "Let me out of here!!" Maybe a little warning next time little one, please? Is that to much to ask for?
At the hospital it was quite clear that the word had gotten out about the baby's desire to come into the world.
I wonder who was the one responsible for that?
Yep, the creepy paparazzi hiding out in Gabby's garden.... tisk tisk tisk
Finally hours later, Mimi gives birth to a beautiful girl! Yay! Kayla Tanner! Woot woot! She has a beautiful complexion a little bit more like her mom and her father's hair.
Mimi, tired but excited walks out of the hospital with nothing on her mind but the beautiful child in her arms and her wonderful husband finishing all the paperwork with the hospital.
"Mimi!"
Mimi stopped and looked around. Finally, to her utter shock, her eyes landed on the voice that she had not heard in years. There he stood, in ugly dirty overalls.
"Hey, Mimi!" A tall man waved in arms in the air trying to get her attention.
She knew that she would not be able to ignore him since he was right in front of her. So, she walks over to him.
"Ruben, what are you doing here?"
"I just came to see how my little sister is doing."
"Thanks, very nice of you, but I have not seen you in years. Why now? I didn't even know that you were in Twinbrook!"
"Well, the family and I have moved here together."
"Mom and Dad are here? Julian is here? Are you guys kidding me? No one thought that it would be nice to tell the other family member what's up?" Mimi was now getting vexed.
"What do you think I'm doing?"
"Look, I have to go. I just got out of the hospital. I don't feel well because I just had a baby! This is not the right time for this. Excuse me," Mimi walked past him and headed toward the van. Almost to the orange van, Lance walked up next to her.
"Hey, hun. I got some really great tips from the nurse...." Lance's words were drowned out as Mimi's thoughts about the encounter with her brother rang loudly in her head.
With Kayla around, time seems to fly by! At first everyone took turns giving Kayla her 2 am feedings, but after a while, Lance and Mimi were able to get on a good routine. Lance and Gabby were able to get back to practicing. Gabby was able to get back to her garden. Mimi was back at the computer. Now a grandpa, Jeremy felt rejuvenated. He could admit that life had been hard after Julienne's passing, but now he felt like living again and wanted to do everything! He started going to concerts, movies, games and making new friends. Most importantly, Jeremy has begun to dedicate more his time to his family like he used to. :-)
From the moment Mimi brought Kayla home from the hospital, he knew something was bothering her. So, one day, a few weeks later, they went out to lunch. Jeremy got straight to the point and asked Mimi what was going on and Mimi tells him all that happened at the hospital and about her past.. After talking about all the emotions that she had been feeling, Jeremy told her she knew what she had to do and Mimi knew it also. She would talk to her brother.
So, the next day Mimi invites Ruben over to the house. The family was shocked when they met him. He was a vampire! So, naturally his presence made everyone uncomfortable, especially Kayla, but Mimi and him were able to talk through a lot of their issues and begin a new relationship. Yay for them!
Gabby is such a great auntie! She would stay up late frequently, with the help of some ice cream, to feed, burp and change Kayla's diapers. Awww...
With all the gigs Micky D's have been getting, Mimi finishing her first novel, and Jeremy's name becoming known around town, the newly hired maid just kept getting starstruck!
Gabby has really turned into quite the chef just like Julienne. Cobbler?? Not bad!
