Generation 2 Part 1

Hey guys, welcome to the second generation! I'm really excited. So, if you remember from the last part, Lance was proclaimed the heir to the Tanner legacy, we let's see how life is treating him.  :-)

Hey all, my name is Lance. I am nervous and excited to be heir of my family legacy, but I guess we will see how I do. :-)

Just a little about myself:

I am a:
Couch potatoe
Family-orientated
Good
Excitable
     and
Virtuoso

My lifetime wish is to be a Master of the Arts, which is perfect for me. I love painting just like my mother does and in high school I took a liking to playing the guitar. Whether or not I'm any good? Well, you would have to ask the family and see what they say. :-)

I often go to the park to play and hey, people seem to like me. Cool! :-)

My family is definitely one hard working family. My mother finally fulfilled her lifetime wish of becoming CEO of her mega corporation and she flipped out in excitement. I almost didn't recognize her there for a second. I think she looks quite snazzy in her new uniform, and hey she puts them younger associates to shame, so yea my mom is beast.

So, you would not believe what happened to me yesturday! I was walking out of the bookstore when I ran into a celebrity! Like, for real, for real! So, after gawking at him for a while, I got up the nerve to talk to him. Turns out he is the owner of my mom's company. Talk about running into money. Driving home I realized that maybe, just maybe, that could be me one day; walking down the street and girls screaming my name, Lance! Lance! Lance! Well, it wasn't to bad a thought.

So, I am just painting in my room, and I think I will have to finish this painting quickly for the gallery. Mom, who, by the way, now has her own limo, went out to get some groceries. Not a bad set of wheels if I do say so myself. :-)

Later in the evening, dad was at it in the kitchen cooking up some dinner. I take a step back and look at the piece I have just finished as Gabby steps into my room.

"What do you think Gabby?"
"Could be worse," she sad with a snicker.
"Get out of here female!" I said as I shot her a look, trying not to laugh. As she turned to leave, we heard sounds.

thump....
ground shaking..........
eerie sound..........

"What was that, Lance?"
"I don't know, but something feels wrong.... Mom! Dad! Is everything ok?"

We run out into the hallway to meet on the the worst things that I would ever experience....

Two Weeks later...

It's definitely been a tough two weeks. All the calls and letters from family and friends have been appreciated, but it's been hard. Everyday dad drives out to visit mom, and today is no different.

I have been spending my time in the office, reminiscing on the past, and with my two best friends Mimi and Terrance.

I remember all the famous pieces that were produced on that easel.

The hardest one hit was definitely father. I would hear him at night crying and he wasn't talking much lately. Then there was Gabby, she spent a lot more time in her garden. The doctors say that would be very therapeutic for her and would help her coupe.

But, the most therapeutic thing was how she comforted us. No one could console dad like Gabby. Hmm... what a character my sister is. Can't even console herself, but can calm anyone in the family down. Man, I love her!

A year later...

Work has been a life saver. Dad hit the top of his career path in the education field, woot woot, and I went to city hall and registered the Micky D's. Yep, the Micky D's. The Micky D's will be the best band in all of Twinbrook, starring the brother and sister duet Lance and Gabby Tanner. Oh yea! *fist pump*

We grew closer with the loss of mom. We began to realize that time spent together was a lot more precious, especially time spent with dad.

As dad healed he went out on a quest to discover every spec of the galaxy and name it all after his family. I think a star is named after me. I think, or it could be some other forming thing up there.

Micky D's was definitely getting them lovely calls! We would practice long hours at the park or outside the theater to get more recognition and cash, of course.

We even began to have poparatzzi hang around and take pictures, cool!!

Then we would go to all the gigs we were getting calls for.

I will never forget the first paycheck we got! I know we are going to be somebody's. oh yea!

One thing mom always taught me, that I will never forget, was that since I had such a giving spirit, to always give back, no matter how successful in life I ever got. So, the after performances, I would donate some money to help orphans in the big cities have a good place to go, or to the Llama foundation, to the Tree Society or whatever else.

So, also in the past year, I've been working very hard in another department. :-) She is one of my best friends  who I have known her all my life, her name is Mimi. After I graduated from high school, I was sad to leave her behind. She was two years behind me which meant she was still a teen while I was now a young adult. But, patience is a virtue, right?

As soon as the sparkles happened and Mimi became a young adult, I knew now was the time. Mimi was a chocolate beauty! She was simple and real unlike other women that tried to get with me. She had been there for me after mom passed and was patient with me as I got better on the guitar.

So...

Yep, I'm good!

A year later...

After all the planning and late nights and long days, the wedding came together. After all that work, we decided to have a small wedding. I wish mom had been there to see it, but it was still a perfect day. I hope you enjoy the day!

The vows

And the kiss, hehe

Paaaaartay time!

Aww... she loves me! She really, really, really loves me!

Well, I don't know if you noticed the little house in the background, but that's the new in-laws suite. Boy, I love my father. He built it as a wedding gift to Mimi and myself, so that we could get the house for ourselves and start our own lives.

Then of course the best part of the day... hehe

Well, this is where we will need to part ways for a while. You know ;-)

The End!

Generation 1 Part 3

Welcome to part 3 guys! Enjoy and let me know what you think. Thanks and enjoy!

One thing is for sure, I never could have planned for my life to end up so perfectly! I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful/trying/special/creative/loving teens. I have the house of my dreams and the job of my dream in the  town that been the perfect fit. Not bad!

Well, I love to look back on the past few year, more like over a decade, and reflect on all my family and I have been through. So, I will never forget the birth of my second child, Lance Tanner. He was so loud and beautiful that he left my wife and I speechless.

Before I knew it, Tanner was 9 years old and in the fourth grade. He was learning how to write essays and what fractions were. I was teaching high school by now, but I would still check in with him if I could to see how he was doing. Oh man he was sooo smart at that age! Oh, and he sure could eat too!

Then there is my wonderful Gabby. Gabby had sure turned out to be quite the character. She is what some people would say, insane. But I just know her as gabby with different habits. She did well in school. Starting off rough, but ending well. She didn't have the most friends in the world, but she was really close to the ones that she had.

Unlike his older sister Gabby, Lance was friends with everyone. You would catch him and his best friend running around town up to something, but it was never too bad.  :)

At this time I really wanted to do more than just give lecture around town, so I would go to the bookstore and  grab something for good reading. Good stuff!

All of us around the table was special. We would be able to catch up on how we were doing or Julienne and I would help the kids with their homework.

I learned to hold onto precious moment like these. I'm pretty sure that Gabby was in 10th grade and Lance in 8th. Before we knew it, Lance was in high school himself.

Lance definitely grew up into a good teenager. He would donate his (my) money to good causes, he would help my out after school grading paper, but mostly he would use his good skills out on the football field.

Gabby was becoming quite proactive to have around. She fell in love with cooking just like her mother and grandmother, and would spend hours in the kitchen or in front of the tv watching the cooking channel.

With some help from Teacher pops, Lance kept up a good GPA. But, mostly I would say that he did it himself. He would come home from practice and just hit the books.

Lance would take after his mother in the art department. Both of them would spend hours in front of that easel painting away.

Hmm..... The most special thing I can recall from all these years would be Julienne and I. I knew we were it all those years ago, and now we have grow grey together! I remember my 50th birthday and how we stood in the kitchen flirting. *chuckles*

I remember the night we all went to the beach! Boy, that was a whole lot of fun. Gabby left early that afternoon to attend the grill-a-thon. She was one meal short of winning. But, then the rest of us showed up later and had a great time.

Julienne was progressing quickly at work, so when she came home, she would crash on the sofa and watch whatever the kids were doing. Sometimes it would be a cooking show Gabby was watching or a video game Lance was playing, but either way it would just relax her.

Of all the ups and down. Gabby having all of her doctor appointments, Lance almost failing school, and my stunt at work for a while. Then, Julienne flying up the corporate ladder, Lance making star athlete, and Gabby finally being able to live a better life, I am glad I went through it all.

Well, all these flashback almost made me forget something very important! As my story ends, a new one will begin. So, who will be heir to the Tanner legacy?

Gabby!!!!

But... she thought about it. She knew she was different and now as an adult she realized she had no interest in getting married. So, she would want her baby brother to hold down the fort. :)

And generation 2 begins!!

The End!
